METAPHOR

A giant’s burnt rice pudding skin.
Black ice waiting to be skidded on.
The shroud of many unimportant things.
A limbless, bulging belly.
A cauldron brewing garbage soup.
A witch’s plastic mac.
The envelope for a long blackletter.
The silent hungry beggar at my door.
