Listening to the poetry |
I have tried to explain the process in
as "real people" language as I can.
If you have any problems with the process, do send me an e-mail and I'll
see what I can do.
Longwood does not have a
"streaming" server. Therefore, in order to listen
to the poetry linked on the webpage, you will need to download each poem.
And you will need to have REAL PLAYER/Basic as a program to hear the
reading.
This program is available for free downloading at:
Sooo....when you click on the poem, a
box will pop up that asks you to
"save as." I find that the easiest system is to create a file on
my desktop
called POETRY LIVE! Then when the "save as" box comes up, I can
save
the poems I want to hear in this particular file.
Now, you are ready to listen! Go
to the desktop file and when you open it,
you will see the poem titles you saved with the "blue" icon for
RealPlayer.
Because you now have the program loaded on your computer, all you have to do is
click on the poem title and you will hear Dr. Gabb reading!
